Mookie came to the Safe Humane Court Case Dogs program after he was rescued in June 2012 when police were executing a search warrant for narcotics.  He and another dog were guarding the house where their then-owner kept the drugs. Doing what he was trained to do, Mookie was shot in the foot by police, not knowing whether he was friendly. Now his foot is healed, and he takes manners classes and visits incarcerated youth to teach them that dogs are special and are to be respected. Mookie enjoys meeting humans and other dogs on leash and hanging out and running with his doggie friends in playgroups. He is a total love bug and a big lug.  And now safe and happy with his forever family.
