Meet Cowboy, our big, fetch-loving brindle boy!! Cowboy has sadly been at CACC since May 2nd, 2014. His owner was charged with neglect when police were alerted to two dogs living in a car with no food or water. The car was covered in feces and urine and both Cowboy and his car-mate, Big Red, were emaciated. For weeks the owner fought to get his dogs back and finally over a month later Cowboy and Big Red became property of Chicago and are available for rescue!!!! Cowboy LOVES fetch, knows drop it, wait, sit, down and stay. He's a rock star!! He's comfortable off leash with females and is working on gaining a good comfort level with easy going males. His rabies vaccine and neuter are done and free, as is in-home training for the rest of his life. It's been nearly two months, so we'd love to see Cowboy go to a big dog loving rescue!!
Cowboy is now with I Speak Dog in Indiana. If you're interested in adopting him, please email Steve Lackey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
