ALFIE UPDATE - March 2021!

Court Case Dog Alfie was found with CCD Kokomo early in 2020 after their owner stopped caring for them. They lived together in a basement, slowly losing weight until they were both skin-and-bones and living in their own waste.

Well, we are happy to report that Alfie is living his very best life after being adopted by his foster mom Carly (through our rescue partner One Tail at a Time). Alfie, or “Alfito” as Carly affectionately calls him, loves to people watch on his perch near the front window and to have guests over so that he can show off all of his stuffed dinosaurs when he greets them. Alfie loves cheese of any kind: string cheese, cream cheese, you name it…. Carly says he could finish an entire charcuterie board in minutes! And Alfie is an all-time spot-stealer: If Carly gets off the couch, for even just a second, he'll sneak in and make himself cozy.

Even at 9 years old and continuing to work on his leash reactivity and separation anxiety, Alfie knows how to use his puppy eyes to get some attention. And we say he deserves all the attention, love, stuffed dinosaurs and cheese he gets! As Carly says: “While it's heartbreaking to think of the hardships Alfie's faced, it makes seeing where he's at today that much more rewarding. These Court Case Dogs are not at fault for where they ended up and all deserve a place to call home.”
