Volunteers Overview

Safe Humane Chicago depends upon the involvement of community members. We need your help to spread our mission that a safe community is a humane community. We offer a wide range of volunteer positions regardless of experience, committment, etc. To get started, please fill out our volunteer application.

If you have questions about volunteering with Safe Humane Chicago, please see Volunteer Opportunities or Frequently Asked Questions.

If you are not able to volunteer with SHC, your contribution to the animal welfare community is still very important. Please contact your local shelter or animal rights organization to get involved in putting a stop to animal cruelty. We also accept donations to continue our life-saving work.

By giving just a few hours of your time, you are really helping animals and people in need. Become a volunteer with Safe Humane Chicago today to help us bring the word of animal kindness to your community and beyond.
