Zuzu
Zuzu is an Australian cattle dog born 4/1/1999
She has pointy upright ears and is black with white socks and a very fancy white stripe down her snoot. She has 2 fake hips and crunchy arthritis, she loves to smile and moan and can be pretty bossy about playtime.
We had a few questions for her.
Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Yes! I have an annoying jack Russell terrier brother and sister. They love to bite my face when I play fetch. I act like I don’t notice them but sometimes I have to put them in their place (or take a minute to initiate a little tug). Now we have a puppy and he is pretty ridiculous (and I like him a lot, most of the time).
How did you join your family?
My mom really wanted a standard poodle and my dad said no, only a rescue dog. My mom dragged him to the shelter and says it was love at first sight (I was 13 weeks and pretty darn cute).
Do you have any “jobs”? Tell us about them and what you like most about them.
I used to be a professional dog walker but now I am mostly retired. I love my new gig with Safe Humane. Kids are fun!!!
Do you have any “hobbies”?
Playing fetch, agility (non competitive), killing squeaky toys, eating stuffed kongs, curling up in human beds
Do you do any tricks? What is your favorite?
I can wake up out of a dead sleep, run into a room and catch a piece of flying cheese.
What is your favorite toy?
My new favorite fetch ball is the cuz (small). It’s a good size and squeaks!
What do you like to do when your parents aren’t home?
I eat my kong and sleep in moms bed.
Is there anything you would like to tell us about your work with Safe Humane Chicago or anything else?
I love hanging out in new places and meeting new friends.
