Programs Overview

Comprehensive programming for Safe Humane Chicago targets neighborhoods most affected violence and most in need of resources using schools, churches, and community groups. We have five key components:

• Programming for Children -“Kids, Animals and Kindness”  
• Programming for Teenagers - “Youth Leaders for Safe Humane Chicago” 
• Programming for Adults - “It’s All Connected” 
• Programming for At Risk Youth - "Lifetime Bonds" 
• Support for Criminal Justice and D.A.W.G. - Court Advocacy

Our programs educate the public about responsible pet ownership and safety; stop the violence associated with dog fighting and animal abuse by providing positive, beneficial activities; and connect pet owners to available resources. By taking steps to instill kindness and to reduce violence in our communities, our campaign will create safer more humane neighborhoods across Chicago.
