To ensure the effectiveness and success of Safe Humane Chicago, we welcome new partners. Our programs train community leaders to take the message of compassion and respect to their own communities and we urge community members to get involved and spread the word. Through these efforts, Safe Humane Chicago strives to break the cycle of violence, to promote kindness, and to save lives.
Your organization's mission and expertise would be a significant addition to Safe Humane Chicago’s partners. We include local government, community and animal advocates, humane organizations, family welfare professionals, faith-based organizations, and other community stakeholders. Our growing list includes the Chicago Police Department, the Mayor’s Office, Chicago Animal Care and Control, the Chicago Park District, the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, the Chicago Animal Shelter Alliance, and faith-based leaders, among others. Best Friends Animal Society is our national partner and plans to take this unique campaign from Chicago to other cities across the country under the name Project Safe Humane.
Safe Humane Chicago partners provide support in a variety of ways. Some support us financially. Others, such as the Chicago Park District, offer facilities or waive fees. The Chicago Veterinary Medical Association helps build awareness or offers volunteer speakers from their membership. The Chicago Police Department provides the support of its organization, its officers and staff. Animal-assisted therapy groups share dog-and-handler teams for our presentations. Others donate or subsidize program materials. To promote the alliance and to increase our impact, we ask all partners to provide letters of partnership that we can share with others and include you on our website.
If you or your organization are interested in becoming a partner of Safe Humane Chicago, please fill out a partnership application form to get started.
